Bunkering in Genoa
Genoa, on the Ligurian coast, handled 46.68 million tonnes in 2025. Assoporti data put that third in Italy behind Trieste and Gioia Tauro. Container terminals, oil and chemical jetties, and ferry and cruise traffic share one port. The south quay of Calata Olii Minerali was rebuilt for small bunker barges in August 2022.
Shipping Italy reported in October 2025 that one operator had moved its barges to Venice after the summer season, leaving a single operator in the port. The position can change with the season, so ask when you enquire.
